About this notice

This notice covers the Akanya microsite — the public site you are reading now. Akanya is a Teddy K Group venture. The microsite introduces Akanya, offers a guided demonstration and collects feedback and access requests. It is separate from the Akanya prototype.

Current stage

Akanya is an interactive functional prototype. The current stage is product validation and controlled lecturer testing. Data shown in the guided demonstration is illustrative and does not describe any real institution, cohort or result.

What we collect

  • Feedback you choose to submit through the feedback form.
  • Details you provide when requesting prototype access or expressing pilot interest, such as your name, work email, institution and role.
  • Basic, non-identifying interaction events (for example, that the guided demo was started) used to understand which parts of the site are useful. Form contents are never sent to analytics.

How we use it

  • To improve Akanya and assess its suitability for controlled pilot testing.
  • To contact you only where you have provided details and consented to follow-up.
  • To review prototype access requests before any invitation is issued.

What not to submit

Please do not submit confidential materials or identifiable student work through the public microsite. The demonstration does not require any real student data.

Sharing and retention

Contact details are used only with your consent and are not sold. Submissions are handled server-side by Akanya and its processors for the purposes above, and retained only as long as needed for product validation and follow-up.

Your choices

You may ask us to update or delete the details you submitted by emailing hello@akanya.africa.

No endorsement implied

Named settings or examples used on this site are illustrative. Nothing here implies a completed pilot, formal institutional endorsement or measured academic outcomes.
